Leah's 1st Halloween!

"Halloween Halloween trick or treat, our costumes can be seen"! I have this song on my mind whenever i think of Halloween and pumpkins because Noah keeps singing it all the time. It's from Dora's show. He demands to watch "Dora's Halloween" as soon as we enter the car now and he knows all their songs :) I don't mind it though. Lately we also like to listen to the Disney Halloween Parade CD and all three of us usually get in the groovy mood when we play it (Noah also gets in the Pirate mood). Anyways, we love Halloween and even more we love Trick or Treating. This year Halloween its even more special because its Leah's first Halloween. She is 9 months old. At first i thought she will be a Bumble Bee (since i have this cute costume from Noah's first Halloween) but then i saw this perfect pumpkin costume and decided she will wear this one instead. She looked so darn cute in it :)

This year the Halloween day has been quite chilly so i managed to persuade Noah to put his Tiger costume instead. He was so ready to get some candies that he didn't really mind it after all (it wasn't until he saw Jack in his pirate costume that he complained about it). This year we went trick or treat all together (Paul included), Leah in her stroller, Noah up front leading. It was such a great night and Noah had a blast! He went door to door asking for the candies (sometimes grabbing more candies than intended:)without shadow of hesitation saying (tik or tik). Too cute! I'm not sure how many candies he ate altogether (or should i say we both ate :) but it was a LOT. By the time we got home, we were soo full of candies that our stomachs hurt :)

Noah's 3 years check-up and Leah's 9 month check-up!

It is time for Noah's 3 year check up and Leah's 9 months check-up. I was so glad that i was able to take both of them at the same time to Dr. B.

So here are Noah's stats:
Weight: 38 lbs (which puts him in 98 percentile for the weight)
Height: 40 cm (and also 98 percentile for the height)

Noah had been a real champ in the office. He wasn't up for any shots but he needed a flu shot so i told him that the nurse will come back in a minute and she will have to give him a little shot. He didn't like it of course but he immediately felt better after i told him that Leah will get three more shots :) LOL. He didn't even cry!!! I saw a little tear in his eye but he was very brave. I am soo proud of my boy! Leah on the other hand, had a little problem with her shots :) She cried soo much and was very unhappy about the whole experience. I felt so bad for her. I hate when she cries because when she does EVERYBODY can hear it and she sounds very dramatic (it's gotta be this girl thing :) But overall, she did great. Next time i am not coming without a lollipop. It worked wonders for Noah so hopefully it will soothe Leah as well :)

Here are Leah's stats:
Weight: 21 pounds (which puts her in 90% for the weight)
Height: 29cm (which puts her in a 98% for the height).
Head Circumference: 44 and a half cm (60%).

What can i say i have big kids. LOL. Dr. B said that Leah is actually off the charts for her height. She will be as tall as her daddy. Noah will too, which is wonderful.
Other than this both kids are doing wonderfully. At 9 months Leah can stand on her own, says mama, dada, has 4 teeth (with 2 just coming in) and still sleeps 12 hours at night (i put her down at 8pm and she usually gets up by 8am next morning). She is happy and totally absorbed by her high energy brother. I also noticed that at 9 months Noah was already climbing the stars. Leah so far doesn't show any interest in the stars. Thanks God! I am very blessed to have two healthy and wonderful children.

Here are Noah's stats from his 9months check up:
Weight: 21 pounds and 8 ounces (70% for the weight)
Height: 28 and a half cm (60% for the height on the national growth charts).
Head: 45cm
So they are very similar but Leah may be even taller :)

I remember when i took this photo like it was yesterday :( Noah has just got up from his afternoon nap and was very mellow and sweet and i kissed all over him :) Please don't grow up soo fast!!!

Noah's Birthday Party!

Noah's Birthday Party is here! As usually we invited all Noah's friends mostly from our neighborhood but we also had a good Polish crowd :) Because Noah's party is only a few days away from Halloween we always mix a costume party with his birthday party so that kids have a chance to wear their costumes more than once. What a wonderful idea! I always dreamed to have Noah before the Halloween so that we could have the entire house decorated and everybody could wear their costumes. I got what I wanted :) It's like a tradition now and the kids are looking forward to it. I as a host also decided to dress up this year and in the years to follow :) We went to a mega Halloween store and i picked up Athena's costume :) Why Athena? I don't really know. I always admired her from Greek Mythology because she is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, strength, the arts, crafts and skill. Pretty cool stuff huh? So that's why i decided for Athena. I really had in mind a Pirate's girl costume but all the pirates girl's costumes were way too sexy for my taste (instead of just being cute) so that was out of the question :) I couldn't see myself in a very mini skirt and high hill boots. I always go for comfort and not the looks :) Long story short I ended up being Athena in a long dress and sandals, just how i like it :) Noah didn't want to be a Tiger so i got him a cheap Pirate's costume and we were ready to roll! The party was so much fun and Noah had a blast. I thought he will have a hard time sharing his toys with others but NO he didn't care at all! I was soo proud! He did find the favorite friend for the night- his neighbor Jack, who just like Noah was a pirate. Jack is 6 months older than Noah but you cannot see any difference in them. These two pirates played all evening with their swords, just running around and pretending to be real pirates. Noah was in heaven. Finally he got to play with someone who had the same interests :) I am soo glad i didn't put the Tiger costume on him because he would have been disappointed seeing Jack as a pirate and himself as a Tiger :) Miss Leah did wonderfully all evening. Babcia Ewa was watching her mostly as she "played" on the floor with her 2 months older friend Lucy (Jack's sister). She never cried or complained. Happy as a clam. LOL. She was a real trooper. After everyone had left we opened Noah's gifts and Leah was his helper. He received many different toys including pirates but a true winner was Woody from ciocia Ania and Iza. Noah was so excited that he slept with his friend Woody many nights before he abandoned him and moved on to another toy :) That's how it usually goes. LOL

Noah's Birthday Celebration.

Happy Birthday Noah!!!!! We celebrated Noah's birthday together with babcia Ewa in our house. We got up early and let Noah open his birthday presents first and then we watched him play and run around with his new toys. He was soo excited about the new Toy Story Landfill that he played all morning by himself :) He is really into the Toy Story thing now so I'm sure we will be buying some more Toy story related toys in a near future :) Anyways, we picked up Noah's birthday cake in Alon's (Award winning Bakery Market :) I love this place! They have the best cakes EVER. We had a wonderful lunch in Alon's and then drove back home, ate the cake, sang happy birthday songs to Noah in Polish and then in English and then we watched Noah blew his birthday candle over and over again :) He loves to celebrate birthdays and eat cakes :) He really enjoyed the cheesecake from Alon's :) It was soo delicious! It reminded me of a homemade cheesecake that my mom makes :) Happy Birthday Sweetheart. We love you so much!

LeapPad Explorer. He wasn't as excited by the LeapPad as i thought he would because it is very similar to my Iphone but he played with it next day and finally fell in love with it because the LeapPad's apps are very similar to the ones on my I-phone. Unfortunately the LeapFrog didn't quite replaced Noah's I-phone obsession but at least it helped a little :)

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful, funky, smart, passionate, caring, loving, handsome and cool boy in the whole world!!! I cannot even describe how i feel about you every, single day of my life! I get up thinking about you and I go to sleep thinking about you. I am absolutely obsessed by your wonderful being! I am happy when you are happy. I am sad when you are sad. I feel what you feel.
