I seriously cannot even believe that Christmas is over :((( I have been waiting and preparing for it since September and now it's almost Near Year. A neighbor of ours just threw away their Christmas Tree and left it sitting on their lawn... this really made me sad and i realized that soon enough we also will be taking our tree down (but not until the Three Kings Holiday that's on Jan 6 :) Anyways, everything has to end sometimes so I'm trying to concentrate on positive aspects of Holidays and when i get sad i can always go back to all our memories and pictures we have during this wonderful time of the year. This year we have spent Wigilia (The Christmas Eve) at our neighbors house as usual having a traditional Polish dinner. We had homemade Polish pierogi, sauerkraut with mushrooms, barszcz, mushroom soup and a fish, just to name a few of our traditional Wigilia dishes. We had a wonderful time together and Children had an opportunity to see the Santa, who came in right after our supper. Noah was the first one to Welcome Santa and he sat on his knees without any hesitation at all :) Way to go Noah! Mommy and daddy were so proud of you. After Santa gave away all his presents, few kids (including Noah) gathered near to him for a Christmas Stories. I have never seen Noah sitting so quietly and listening to the stories he did not really know :) All in all, Wigilia was great this year and we are blessed we could spent it with babcia Ewa and our friends. On a Christmas day, Noah run to our living room to see if the milk and cookies we left on the table for Santa were all gone and surely enough they were gone! Santa came and Noah got the Arctic Cat he wanted!!! The little man was so excited about his new car that he didn't even second glanced his other gift he received: lego blocks. He could have cared less about the lego blocks...it was all about the Arctic Cat :)
After Noah took his new car for a drive around the block, it was time for us to get in a car and visit Paul's parents in Alabama. I couldn't believe it but we actually had a white Christmas this year!!! It was snowing all day long and although we thought we may not make it back to Atlanta the same day we did. However, Noah had a great time seeing his grandparents and cousins: Chandler and Evan. After he opened his gifts, we went outside for a little fun with the snow. Babcia and Noah made a snowman while me and Evan threw some snowballs at each other. Christmas was great this year and Noah enjoyed it so much more than the last year. We all hate to see the Christmas season to be over. When i was putting Noah to bed the night after Christmas, he sat on my lap and asked me to go downstairs and leave some more cookies and milk for Santa for next day. This just broke my heart :) He was just soo cute when he said it and it was hard for me to tell him that Santa wasn't coming until next year. Don't you just love the purity and innocence of children? I just learn every single day from my little men about the most simple things in life that needs to be cherished and embraced :) Anyways, it's time for Christmas pictures. Please don't get overwhelmed with all the photos I am posting here! I just can't help myself :)
