Since babcia Ewa came to town two weeks ago, I didn't have much time to blog or do anything else picture related :) We have been busy doing Christmas shopping and taking Noah for walks. Hopefully we will have more relaxing time once the Holidays are over. In the meantime, we are enjoying the Christmas season and are very much in Christmas spirits as we prepare for Polish Wigilia (Christmas Eve) with family and friends. There will be lots of cooking and baking in the next couple days in our home but that's to be expected in any Polish household before Wigilia. I LOVE Wigilia!!! For me, this is the best and most magical day in the whole year. I wish we could all spend it in Poland with my sister and other members of my family, while the snow is falling outside and we are impatiently awaiting the first star in the sky, which would signalize that it's time to eat the supper. After the supper we would normally open our presents and sing Christmas carols all the way until it was time to get ready for the midnight Mass. Oh there is so much more to Wigilia in Poland than it is here in the States but as long as I am together here with my mom, we can try to recreate this wonderful Christmas tradition and keep it alive as long as we can. Anyways, here are just a few of the pictures i took of Noah and my mom since my mom's arrival:
Noah on our slide. I forgot to mention that I now have a new camera! Nikon D700! Thank you Paul for such a wonderful and generous gift! We will have lots of precious memories of our sweetheart!!!
Babcia accompanying Noah as he takes his nebullizer. Noah has a children's asthma and need to take his nebullizer for a year :( He is doing great though, as long as we are watching Micky Mouse "Twice upon a Christmas" or "the Polar Express" (and most recently Noddy).
Noah making pierniki (gingerbread cookies).
Making his own dough :)
Cookies before decorating.
Noah decorating the cookies...
In between decorating...picture taken with only Christmas light in the background! Love this camera, although i have no time to really learn more about it's possibilities.
Little fuzzy...but i still like it!
Back to decorating the cookies :)
Breaking the rules and licking the knife...
Our fireplace this year...
Some of Noah's favorite decorations...
I have to admit that i do enjoy these lit up houses as well :) Although I have to stop buying them because there is no more space in our house for more of them :)
What's up with this licking ornaments thing? LOL.
Couple of more pictures of Noah in the backyard...I LOVE them all!
Trendy hat for the COOLEST cat!!!
