The new Era...

Guess who visited me in the middle of July? Santa Clause! Yeah-I got my Nikon D40 today! I am soo excited to enter the world of digital SLR photography. Have I ever mentioned here that I have a wonderful husband? Not because he buys me the coolest gadgets on the planet but because he is a truly the most loving, caring and generous men i have ever known. He is also an incredible daddy. Boy he loves Noah to death. I love watching Paul's face lighten up every time he sees Noah :)) What can i say, I'm pretty lucky to have the two most wonderful men in my life. Now back to my Nikon :) It is the most basic digital slr camera you can get but there is a significant difference in picture quality and sharpness between SLR cameras vs. Point-and-Shoot. Believe me I have seen it! My friend Sarah visited me last week and after i have compared my pictures with hers( taken with SLR camera), I decided to teach myself some basic photography and get an slr camera. After a week of researching and obsessing about which camera to buy I settled on Nikon D40 vs.Canon Rebel XSI. First of all Nikon is way cheaper and what can I say? I do prefer Ashton Kutcher from Andre Agassi :)) Now I just have to learn how to operate that thing cause I'm ready to take some shots with it this weekend.
