We didn't have any big plans for this weekend so we decided to go blueberry picking today! What a wonderful idea that was although when we got to our first place it was 100 degrees outside and all the blueberries were dried up. Well, we didn't give up and decided to check the next place on my list that was not too far away from the first one. I'm glad we did b/c we had a wonderful time eating blueberries, picnicking and watching the kids run and play. We spent there good couple hours and by the time we came back home it was already time to get a bath and put the kids down. They were so tired and full of blueberries :) Yummy!
Noah and Leah watching the birds :)
Noah loves blueberries...as you can see :)
Blueberry monster.
Noah just being a boy :)
Even Leah kept eating the blueberries blue or green...it didn't matter to her as long as she had something in her mouth :)

Silhouettes...
It seems like all I'm doing lately are assignments for my class :) Although there is some truth in this, I am also busy with other projects such as re-designing my website and logo and doing whole bunch of activities before my mom goes back to Chicago. All our days go by so quickly...I can't imagine this is the fourth month that babcia is here with us. It's so much better when she is here with us. We are definitely doing more things when she is with us such as strawberry picking (this season we probably went 5 times and brought gallons of strawberries). Next week we are going to pick blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. I cannot wait to go. It's so much fun to go with the kids. For the first few times Leah didn't really want to eat any strawberries but when we went there this week, she was picking them all by herself and eating the whole time we were there. This is the end of season for strawberries and that's why they were soo sweet and delicious.
I have never enjoyed eating strawberries as much as I am enjoying them this season. I wish strawberries were available for picking all year long! Noah also loves to eat strawberries and he was excited when we were going for picking the first couple times. Now he just says "again strawberries? All the time?". He would rather do something else like going to the pool or having a playdate but he really doesn't complain and usually goes with the flow. Next week Noah begins his swimming classes again and I'm gonna try to sign him up for at least one camp this week. We also have couple playdates lined up next week--it's going to be an awesome week i can feel it!
Back to my assignment, I took Noah and Lilly outside before i put Noah to bed and we were off shooting some silhouettes. I love silhouettes and how they tell stories! I really like seeing Noah with our dogs. The way he interacts with them and plays with them. Lilly is of course dearest to my heart so i want Noah to really remember her after she is gone. I hope she has a longer life ahead of her but she is 9 years old and time is passing so quickly...I feel the need to take photos of her. It was just like yesterday when i brought her home and she was just so tiny and adorable. We slept together, we did everything together. We created a special bond between us. Forever. There is no other person that understands Lilly better than i do. It's like i always know what she is up to and she always knows what I am up to. Animals are incredible and their instincts are beyond our deepest imagination. She surprises me every day with her wise glance and the amount of energy she still has. I love Lilly so much and this feeling will never change. We are connected and although her short life is fleeting, she will always find a place in my heart.
It feels like the background connects him with the space he is in... like he's off to battle. I love it.
