Our Christmas photos

So this is the time when we usually do our annual Christmas session for the Christmas cards. This year I'm planning to do several such sessions because i have different ideas and lots of cute outfits. This session was done in our house and i used a hand painted background for it. I saw this backdrop online and just couldn't resist. I love this dreamy, snowy atmosphere. I am in love of this background. I really need to start painting my own backdrops soon. It's such a creative experience. I know i can do it i just need to find time for it. Then i could paint all of my backgrounds and this would make my pictures even more special. I just finished taking a oil painting class so i do have some idea of how to approach it :) Anyways, the kids loved the session and the sled i used. Love my new sled as well :) I hope it snows this year so we can take it out and use it :)

Decorating the house!

I can't believe the Christmas season has officially begun. It was like yesterday that we decorated last year's Christmas tree. I was all pregnant and couldn't wait for Leah to arrive. Now my little girl is almost ready to walk. We had couple of very warm days here in Atlanta lately so we decided to take advantage of this and decorate inside and outside of our house in one weekend right after the Thanksgiving (i couldn't wait more for the tree :) I just adore the Christmas decorations, gingerbread cookies and even gingerbread candles! Christmas always brings good memories in me so it's even more special to me. It is a time when everybody's heart is just more open and more giving. It is a time of joy and a time of reflection. There is nothing better than snuggling around the Christmas tree with your family watching the fire in the fireplace, eating gingerbread cookies and drinking hot chocolate while listening to Christmas carols. I just love this time soo much and cherish each and every moment I have with my family and friends. I cannot wait for babcia Ewa to come and visit us. She will be coming on the 11th and staying until the 27th. Babcia always brings the Christmas spirit up just by her amazing cooking and baking. I cannot wait to make some real gingerbread cookies with her like last year. We all loved it. It takes a long time to make them but they are worth waiting for because they are the best EVER!!! Anyways, here are just a few pictures of us decorating and playing around the tree.

Leah has been really good with the tree around the house. She is not pulling any decorations down to my surprise. Noah was much more interested in the tree and he used to pull all the ornaments down (we had to half decorate the tree with him :) Leah is different. Every time she gets interested in something hanging from the tree she keeps saying "no no" :) Soo cute.

Leah's first Thanksgiving!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving sweet Leah! There are soo many things I am thankful for this year and you are one of them. I am thankful that I have such an incredible, sweet and healthy children. Thank you both for being part of my life. I am thankful for a supportive family, my husband Paul, great friends, my two furry doggies and my home. I am really thankful for all that I have in life. May you forever have a million reasons to be thankful to God. Wishing everybody a very Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Leah's first Thanksgiving at our home. Daddy cooked most of our meal for us and we had a very special and quiet dinner. We planned to go to see a Christmas Lights at Lake Lanier Islands after our dinner but we decided to do it next day instead because when we finished eating it was already too late to go. Noah had a blast seeing the magical lights and even bigger blast roasting marshmallows, drinking hot chocolate and going for different rides in the Holiday village. We made it our tradition now to see the magical night of lights at Lake Lanier and we always are looking forward to it. This year Noah had definitely more fun than last year. We opened the roof for him (since it was nice outside) and he watched the lights through the roof while Paul was driving the car. Noah loved it! When Leah got tired of sitting up front with us, I put her in Noah's seat so she could still see everything and me and Noah finished watching the lights through the roof. How cool! Love Christmas Season! It's so magical and wonderful. I wish Christmas season lasted all year long :)

Session in a Farm Park

Duluth park is probably the most favorite park i have visited while living in GA for the last 8 years (can't believe we have been here such a long time). Unfortunately it is about a hour away from Mableton so we never go there. I went there one time before with Noah for a Clickin Moms meeting and shoot and I am in complete owe of this place. It has barns, open fields, old wheels and streams. It is amazing in the Spring and even more amazing in the Fall. Long story short i decided to take Noah and Leah there for a quick photo shoot before it gets really cold. The weather was amazing. Sunny and around 80 degrees and the kids loved our little trip. We took snacks and drinks and we made a little picnic by the barn. The scenery was gorgeous and I couldn't believe there weren't more people in this incredible park (we may have passed one more couple while there). It was all for us! Noah run free, explored the fields and rolled around in leaves. What could be a better day with the kids than a visit to such an awesome park. We sat on the grass, picked up some acorns for our kitchen table decoration and suddenly it was time for us to leave. We spent the entire day there and came back home when it was already dark outside. Good times with kids!!!
