Leah's two months check-up

Today we had Leah's two months check up! Dr. B said that our girl is healthy and doing wonderful. She is also developmentally on the track with others and is very aware of her surroundings. At two months Leah is almost holding her head upright, smiling and cooing. Last night she slept almost through the night (woke up after 7 hours of sleep for a quick snack and went right back to sleep). I realize it was probably just this one night I got such a nice treat but at least it gives me hope :) Anyways, Leah weighs 12 pounds and 5 ounces and is 23 cm tall. Head circumference: 38 and a half. At two months of age Noah weighed 11 pounds and 5 ounces so just one pound less than Leah :) However he was born tiny and only 5 pounds and 14 ounces (Leah was born weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces).

7 weeks old Leah

Can't believe Leah is already 7 weeks old. I love this age (minus the sleeping issues :)
I especially love to cuddle with my little girl at night...Yes we sleep together, despite of what everybody says :)I feel so happy and fulfilled having her next to me at night that I would not have it any other way. Her warmth and fragrance are so sweet that I could hold her in my arms and kiss all over her all night. I slept with Noah as well until he was about 6 months of age and I have no regrets of doing so. If nothing else i miss it every single day. Now since Leah joined our family it's not as simple to co-sleep with Noah, although we will do so as soon as Leah sleeps through the night :)
I do, however take Noah to my bed and snuggle with him in the morning. These are the best times of my life now and I want to remember and cherish them forever. Life is GOOD and SWEET!

Spring is in the air!

So we have been doing really well lately :) The weather has been incredible so we now spend most of our days outdoors. Spring (or should i say early summer?) is in full bloom. We had as much as 80 degrees in GA lately and all the trees and bushes have now juicy color of green. They are simply beautiful and I feel so happy that i can enjoy this incredible season with my kids and my mom. Leah has been growing like a weed and every day she is more beautiful and Noah has been a real sweetheart getting more independent and spending more and more time by himself. Of course he never forgets to tell me (like 20 times a day) that he loves me :) Awww...I wish i could just stop the time and hold on to his sweetness forever!

Disney World!!!

A week ago, we decided last minute to make a trip to Orlando so Noah could experience a Disney World for the first time :) (while Leah stayed with her grandparents back in Alabama). It was supposed to be a special time for us with Noah and it ended up being one of the best trips we have ever taken as a family! We had a wonderful time in Orlando and Noah was mesmerized by all the cartoon characters he saw in Disney World. He especially enjoyed the Micky's parade and different shows. We haven't really taken too many rides with Noah because the lines were insanely long and the little man is not patient enough to wait in line for 2 hours to see a Peter Pen. We spent 3 days in different parks (including Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom) but Noah enjoyed Magic Kingdom the most because of his most recent favorite cartoon character: the Micky Mouse :)
