My First Half Marathon 13.1 miles!

Ever since i remember i wanted to run marathon. Well, i didn't really run a marathon just yet but i have just finished my very first half marathon on Turkey day :) You gotta start somewhere, right? Anyways, the experience has been amazing, although i have not prepared for it like i should. I have only done two long runs on the weekends and a week prior to the event i have not run at all. I know...this is probably the reason why my knees gave up on me in the middle of the race but I made it to the end in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life so far and I am proud of myself. Even more so because I run without any music on and my GPS watch. Only 2 miles into the race my Ipod died and soon after that my GPS did the same. Not even in my dreams i thought that i can run that long without having anything to listen to but I did and it wasn't that bad at all. There were times during the race that I thought there was no way I could finish or keep running because my knees started to hurt really bad but i did. I couldn't really take any breaks because as soon as i did, my knees hurt even more to the point i couldn't even walk so i had to run :) This may sounds crazy but i would never just stop in the middle of the race and be that looser, who didn't finish :) The finish line made it all worth it!!! I wish my kids were there to see me crossing the finish line that would have made it even more special. Maybe next year me and Noah can do a race together. They have cool mini races for kids and as much as i wanted for him to run this year, it was impossible because my mom was out of town so Paul had to take the kiddos earlier than anticipated.

Anyways, I spent the Thanxgiving dinner at one of my best friends Marta and Derryl. They were kind enough to invite me over so that i didn't have to be by myself. Their entire family was there, as well as few friends including Karolina and Maya. I had the best Thanksgiving dinner EVER and came home after 12am :) I am forever grateful for having such amazing friends.

Happy 4th Birthday Noah!!

Happy 4th Birthday to the most wonderful, loving, smart, fun, sensitive boy i have ever known!!!! The day you came into this world changed my life forever. You are my sunshine, the breath of fresh air that keeps flooding my entire existence. I love you so much that i can't even find the appropriate words to describe it. You are everything that I've always wanted and more...You and Leah together give me energy and happiness i have never known before. I can't believe you are already 4! Where did the time go? I just want to stop the time and just enjoy you like this forever.

So my wonderful Noah, my wish, for you, is that

We had a great party prepared for you when you got back from daddy's place earlier on today with your favorite presents waiting for you to greet you :) You wanted an Imaginext Eagle Talon Castle so me and bacia got that for you as well as Batman lego blocks and remote controlled light stunt speeder. You loved all your presents and played quietly by yourself until your guests arrived. Leah also has gotten a small gift (so that she didn't feel neglected) a little pony and a princess doll :)You told me earlier that you just wanted to invite one friend for your birthday: Tony :) When Tony arrived both of you just disappeared in your own world and played until 8pm. You even took bath together the three of you with Leah :) It was soo cute. The party was lot's of fun. This year i decided to do only a small Polish party for you so i invited my Polish friends only. I will however host another 2 little parties for you for your American friends :) I love you so much sweetheart, like from here to the moon and back.
